Noteworthy: Elenes scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Yellowjackets to a 55-42 win over Pacific in the CIF Southern Section Division 9 championship game at Toyota Arena in Ontario. The section title was the first in program history and the school’s first in any sport since the football program won a championship in 2010. Elenes, a 5-foot-10 forward, scored nine of his points during the first quarter to stake Colton to an early lead. The Yellowjackets host Verdugo Hills of Tujunga in a CIF State Division V first-round game Tuesday evening.
