Nearly a year after a brutal killing in Dennery, a man accused of murdering his brother has been arrested and charged.
Eric Ford of Montego Bay, Oleon, had been wanted in connection with the February 23, 2025, death of Augustus Ford. Police say he was spotted in the Oleon, Dennery area on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Officers attached to the Dennery and Richfond Police Stations responded to the information around 3:30 p.m. Eric Ford was later identified by police at Dennery Hospital and subsequently apprehended.
Augustus Ford was killed near his home, sustaining multiple chopping wounds to the head as he lay on the ground. The violent incident left relatives and members of the community unsettled for months as the suspect remained at large.
On Monday, February 16, 2026, Eric Ford was formally charged with murder. He has since been remanded to the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
