Cassper Claps Back At Criticism Following Debut SAMA32 Hosting Night. Cassper Nyovest had little time for online negativity on Saturday night as he took on his first hosting duties at the 32nd South African Music Awards at Sun City Superbowl in Northwest Province.

While the awards ceremony unfolded, a fan came to the rapper’s defence on X, calling out those criticising Cassper’s performance as host.
“Twitter is full of bitter vile people, imagine criticizing Cass for his 1st hosting gig. Lona le bhora kgoro yoh, tlogelang pelo tsa Satan!! #SAMA32,” fan wrote.
Cassper, true to form, responded with humour rather than getting drawn into a heated exchange.
“Hahaha what’s new ??? People are having the time of their lives here and everyone encouraging me so tswaya mo bao… let’s rock !!!! #SAMA32,” he replied.
The rapper’s response reflected the atmosphere inside the packed Superbowl, where the focus remained firmly on celebrating South African music. Instead of allowing criticism to dominate the conversation, Cassper pointed to the energy in the venue and encouraged everyone to enjoy the moment.
His hosting debut also represented a significant full-circle moment. After years of tension between the rapper and the South African Music Awards, Cassper returned to the ceremony as one of its headline hosts alongside Zanele Potelwa.
The occasion carried even more significance with the SAMAs returning to Sun City in North West, Cassper’s home province, for the “Homecoming Edition.”
Throughout the night, supporters praised the rapper’s charisma and ability to command a stage, while others acknowledged that his hosting debut was an opportunity to settle into an entirely different role. Adding to the challenge, Cassper was not only hosting but also performing during the ceremony.
With SAMA32 taking place under the theme “The Future Sounds Like Now Now,” Cassper appeared determined to embrace the moment on his own terms.
For the rapper, the message was simple: the show was alive, the crowd was enjoying itself, and the online noise was not going to stop the party. “Tswaya mo bao… let’s rock.”
