Gabon Launches Digital Platform to Modernise National Assembly Operations

Gabon has taken a significant step in its digital transformation agenda with the official launch of a new parliamentary management platform and institutional website aimed at modernising the operations of the National Assembly.

The digital tools, known as the GTLAN platform (Management of Legislative Work of the National Assembly), were officially presented on April 29, 2026, during a ceremony attended by senior government officials and parliamentary leadership.

Agence Nationale des Infrastructures Numériques et des Fréquences (ANINF)  developed the platform as part of efforts to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in legislative processes.

The event was held in the presence of the President of the National Assembly, Régis Onanga Ndiaye, alongside members of the parliamentary bureau and ANINF Director General Alberto Mounguengui Moudoki, who led the agency’s delegation.

The new system is designed to enable real-time tracking of legislative texts, improve procedural traceability, and strengthen collaboration within parliamentary operations, while also enhancing public access to institutional information.

Officials said the initiative reflects a broader national strategy aligned with President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema’s vision of strengthening digital governance, modernising public administration, and advancing digital sovereignty.

The National Assembly described the rollout as part of a wider shift toward a more efficient and transparent public service model, supported by locally developed digital infrastructure.
