DEFENDING league champions Scottland FC suffered their first defeat of the season Sunday afternoon at the hands of Simba Bhora, who beat them 2-1.
Mabvirawira opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Khama Billiat, who scored his sixth goal of the season to give his side a 1-0 halftime lead.
Billiat’s goal was cancelled 10 minutes into the second half by McCartney Nwaseb, who scored Simba Bhora’s equaliser, before Harrison Masin sealed victory in the 85th minute to give his side a 2-1 win.
Sunday’s defeat saw Scottland drop to position four on the log with 17 points, five behind log leaders CAPS United, who are on 22 points.
Meanwhile, fellow title contenders Dynamos FC were also handed their first defeat of the season at Barbourfields Stadium by Chicken Inn, who won 2-1.
The result saw Dembare dropping out of the top four as it is now sitting on fifth position with 17 points.
Elsewhere at Baobab, Ngezi Platinum Stars maintained their unbeaten run this season with a 1-0 win over bottom-placed Manica Diamonds.
Madamburo remains the only team in the league yet to taste defeat in the ongoing marathon.
