She Corporate moved a step closer to their target of clinching this season’s FUFA Women Super League title after earning a 2-1 win over St. Noa on Saturday.

The Sharks claimed all three points at FUFA Technical Centre – Njeru to maintain their two-point lead over Kawempe Muslim with two games left to play.

Rebecca Nakato opened the scoring for the hosts a minute after recess, capitalizing on a rebound when Jesca Namanda’s initial effort hit the crossbar.

Namanda would later get onto the score sheet, heading home from close range thanks to Sumaya Komuntale’s cross.

St. Noa pulled one back in the 80th minute through Marion Serenge, but the Sharks were able to see through the result.

She Corporate remains on top with 50 points and visits Uganda Martyrs next before ending the campaign at home to She Maroons. St. Noa, on the other hand, remained seventh on the pile with 27 points.

In the other games played on Saturday, Kawempe Muslim edged Rines 2-1 at home to keep within touching distance of She Corporate. The Valley Warriors are second on 48 points and play Kampala Queens next before ending the season at home to Olila High School.

Elsewhere, Uganda Martyrs and She Maroons played out a one-all draw while Kampala Queens returned to winning ways, defeating Lady Doves 2-1 in Masindi.
