These tracks highlight Dezarie’s enduring ability to balance spiritual reflection with social awareness. But it’s Forgive Yourself that lingers longest after the album ends. Stripped of unnecessary embellishment, its thoughtful message about self-healing adds an emotional dimension that elevates the entire set.

The musicians deserve equal recognition. Crafted and live-mixed by Brizion alongside his brother RZ, the roots reggae riddims were built in their DubStrand Studio in San Diego. Heavy bass lines, steady drum work, tasteful guitar and keyboards, and spacious arrangements give the music a warmth that’s increasingly rare in today’s digital productions. The all-analog mixing by Fikir Amlak and Brizion enhances that organic feel. They created a rich sound that will satisfy both headphone listeners and sound system devotees.
