Dread The New Album By Kirk Diamond & Finn

Kirk Diamond is a JUNO Award winning, singer, songwriter, producer and social activist. Kirk spreads messages of unity, inclusion and love through his music, joined by his band The Movement of Ahryel. Recipient of the 2020 International Vigor Award and 5 x JUNO Award Nominee, Kirk was recognized this year for his achievement in music and culture by the City of Brampton where he resides with a park named in his honour. This makes Diamond the only living reggae artist to be honored with a park.

In addition he was recognized as distinguished alumni by the Duerin Peel School Board and received The Impact Award for his rich influence in entertainment. Kirk is currently on tour promoting his debut album that was released October 6th , 2023. DREAD, has been praised as one of the best Reggae albums of 2023. "An exciting and self- contained sonic experience" says Gardy Stein of Reggaeville, the world's leading publication for Reggae music. The Dread Album Produced by Finn, Which includes the lead Single that gave him his 2nd JUNO Award this year. As well as the second single that was featured in the Drama film “ When Morning Comes.”

This is Kirk's  first album with a Juno Award accreditation preceding it for the lead single "Reggae Party" DREAD promises to push the boundaries of reggae, elevating the genre to new heights.

The Juno Awards are the Canadian equivalent to the Grammy Awards, and with 5 nominations and 2 wins, Kirk Diamond is definitely one of the leaders pushing Reggae forward in Canada. The "Dread" Album is an ode to the golden Era of Reggae. Diamond who was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica, grew up in Toronto after migrating with his family at an early age. Finn is a Canadian born producer to Jamaican parents. With Reggae Music from the 70s, 80s and 90s being great influences on them both, that shared love for Reggae is what inspired the "DREAD" Album.

Featured on the album are Tiffanie Malvo, daughter of Dancehall Legend Anthony Malvo, Kairo Mclean, 2-time Juno Award Winner and youngest to ever win the Reggae category. Also featured on the Album is the Legendary Reggae Sound System Owner and Operator, Ricky Trooper. Trooper has been known for bringing extraordinary talents to the forefront. Notably, Garnet Silk and Luciano the Messenger to name a few.

Kirk Diamond and Finn's "Dread" is a testament to their unwavering passion for music and their commitment to preserving Reggae Music while delivering exceptional artistry.
