The 2026 USSSA Ball Games 1 hosted by Seroma Christian High School, Mukono officially commenced on Thursday, 30th April.

There was action in girls’ football, volleyball (U-17), Netball (U-17), Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Hockey at different venues in Mukono district.

Girls’ football remains one of the key attractions at these games.

There were a couple of one-sided duels held with Mukono Kings’ 17-0 demolition of Jubilee 2000 grabbing headlines for the most goals scored.

James Concy Gune led the assault with the most goals scored individually, five.

Vannesa Naggayi added four goals, skipper Sarah Nakyanzi had a hat-trick, James Malia with a brace before a goal apiece from Teddy Nabwire, Faridah Nakaima and Charity.

“This is a brave performance from my team that gives us a great start in the championship” head coach of the triumphant side Shafic Mudholo stated.

In other contests played, the reigning champions St Noa Girls School Zana humbled Ijumo Progressive School 6-0 at Nakisunga Ssaza ground.

Marion Serenge scored a hat-trick with Grace Kawino, Winnie Kabugho and Cissy Wanyenze each adding a goal apiece.

Amus College School, losing finalists from last season started brilliantly with a 5-0 triumph over Kikoni High School.

Hellen struck twice as Nekesa, Faith Akol and Kusiima added one goal each.

Bon Consili Vocational Secondary School needed a courageous second half performance where they scored all the three goals in their 3-0 win over Masaka Secondary School at the bumpy Seroma main playground.

Loyce Kamugisha netted a brace and Catherine Natuhwera added the other.

Rines S.S defeated St Peter’s Hoima 6-0 and Bunya SS won 5-1 over Francis Ayume Memorial School.

The games continue on Friday, 1st May 2026 with morning action before the official opening ceremony in the afternoon.

These games will run until 8th May 2026 with the outstanding teams qualifying for the East African Games due in Morogoro city, Tanzania this coming August.
