At the Geneva Cyber Week, Smart Africa and RealTyme signed an addendum to their existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), expanding their collaboration to strengthen cybersecurity resilience across Africa.
The enhanced partnership will support the African Network of Cybersecurity Authorities (ANCA) by improving the operational capabilities of national cybersecurity institutions across the continent. Key focus areas include advanced security protocols, secure communications, AI-driven security systems, digital identity protection, and preparation for post-quantum cryptography.
The agreement also includes investment in technical training and capacity-building initiatives aimed at equipping cybersecurity professionals with the skills needed to address emerging cyber threats.
Additionally, the collaboration will help develop critical cyber infrastructure in African countries, including Security Operations Centres (SOCs), Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), and national cybersecurity centres.
The partnership reflects broader efforts by African stakeholders to strengthen digital trust, improve cyber resilience, and secure the continent’s fast-growing digital economy.
