The Box
A six sided box with one side open
To fall through, climb in, stay in and hide out
Hid, still and fallen, bruised and then mangled
Staying small, silent, been beaten no doubt
Crawl into corners, sobbing and weeping
Praying to gods you never knew at all
Hoping for intervention and power
Wanting to grow so you’re big and so tall
Making a promise, being courageous
Deep in the box in the home of the brave
You find the balls and you find the spirit
There is a planet for you to now save
Its round, its perfect, full of bright water
The land is soft, its full of tall grasses
Its food is sweeter than tasted before
Ice cold vengence is served to the masses
Of small men and women beaten like you
Boxed into corners and given a choice
To stay quiet or to come out fighting
Screaming loudly at the top of their voice
Boxed into corners and given no choice
But to come out loudly voicing their voice
