THE Consulate General of India in Vancouver on Sunday expressed its deepest condolences on the death of Manoj Sivakumar and Srisaran Thirugnanasambantham, Indian students from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, “who lost their lives in a tragic air accident in Canada during their flight training.”
The Consulate General that serves western Canada did not mention any province or date of the accident.
It added: “Our heartfelt sympathies are with their bereaved families and loved ones during this difficult time. The Consulate stands ready to extend all possible consular assistance to the families in connection with the repatriation of the mortal remains to India.”
It is not clear if they were the casualties aboard the Cessna 172 on a night flight from Regina to Steinbach, Manitoba, last Friday. The pilots belonged to a Manitoba-based flying school and air taxi provider.
