Amruh Fishing company handed over scholar patrol equipment and safety gear to Good Hope Primary School at Walvis Bay on Monday, as part of its commitment to community development and road safety awareness.
The equipment was officially handed over by Amruh Fishing managing director Jonas Lamek on behalf of the company’s shareholders and received by school principal Monde Kolofu.
‘’The initiative aims to equip pupils with the necessary tools to safely manage pedestrian crossings and to promote a culture of responsibility and vigilance among young road users,” Lamek says.
The donated equipment included high-visibility reflective vests, stop signs, traffic cones, and safety caps – essential items that enhance visibility and ensure the effectiveness of scholar patrol duties.
Pupils were encouraged to take pride in their roles as scholar patrol members, recognising the vital role they play in ensuring the safety of their peers before and after school hours.
The provision of branded safety gear not only reinforces safe practices but also instills discipline, leadership, and accountability.
