As part of the ongoing process to establish formal regulations for the operation of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), commonly known as drones, the Belize Department of Civil Aviation announces that it will host a public consultation session on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
The consultation is a key step in developing a legal and operational framework that balances innovation, safety, security, and privacy. All interested parties, including commercial drone operators, hobbyists, aviation stakeholders, legal experts, environmental groups, and members of the public, are invited to attend and present relevant concerns, suggestions, or technical input.
