JMPD arrest two suspects with stolen car

Johannesburg’s Metropolitan Police (JMPD) have arrested two suspects and recovered a stolen vehicle and have also seized a significant amount of dagga found in the car at Florida Park, west of Johannesburg.
Authorities say the success highlights ongoing efforts to combat crime and improve safety across the city.
The suspects were intercepted during a proactive stop-and-search operation at a busy intersection, where officers identified the vehicle as stolen and linked to a case in Springs.
Upon searching the car, police discovered multiple bags of suspected drugs concealed under a jacket on the back seat. Further checks revealed that the driver was also wanted in connection with a fraud case, adding to the seriousness of the charges.
Both suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
