Celebrating 50 years of Los Horóscopos de Durango means celebrating the family, music and fans who have made their story possible. Sisters Marisol and Vicky Terrazas opened up about their journey, their relationship as sisters and the legacy their father, Armando “El Jefe” Terrazas, began in 1975 during a recent press conference in Los Angeles ahead of “La Gira de Oro” finale in Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater this October 9.

The sisters spoke proudly about their father, whose vision created the foundation for a group that would go on to become one of the most recognizable names in Regional Mexican music. Today, they continue carrying that legacy forward while working with a team that has helped them reach this historic 50-year milestone.

The conversation also touched on what it has meant to build a career as women in Regional Mexican music. Through the years, Marisol and Vicky have faced the challenges of an industry where female voices have not always received the same space, turning their own success into a testament to perseverance and female empowerment.

Their bond as sisters has been just as important. After decades of sharing stages, music and life experiences, their connection remains at the center of Los Horóscopos de Durango. They also emphasized their commitment to keeping duranguense alive, introducing its sound to new generations while continuing to honor the music that helped define their career.

“Antes muertas que sencillas”, the iconic phrase behind one of their biggest anthems continues to represent the confidence and attitude that have defined the group for generations.

THE GOLDEN FINALE

From Mexico to the United States, the group continues to experience the same passion from fans who have grown up with their music. Their songs have become part of family celebrations, memories and dance floors across generations, creating a connection that goes far beyond borders. Now, that celebration is coming to Los Angeles.

Los Horóscopos de Durango will bring the finale of La Gira de Oro to Peacock Theater on October 9, celebrating five decades of hits, memories and the fans who have supported them throughout their journey. The group has already extended the invitation to Los Angeles, calling on fans to join them for this special closing night.
