DODOMA: THE Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for Regional Administration and Local Government (TAMISEMI), Professor Riziki Shemdoe, has commended the Ministry of Finance for continuing to perform its duties professionally, including the preparation of the 2026/2027 Government Budget, which received strong support and was approved by Members of Parliament in Dodoma.
Professor Shemdoe gave the commendation during his visit to the Ministry of Finance exhibition booth before officially closing the 2026 Public Service Week celebrations held at Chinangali Park grounds in Dodoma, on behalf of the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr Moses Kusiluka.
Speaking during the event, Professor Shemdoe praised the Minister of Finance, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar, together with ministry staff, for preparing a budget that gained approval from citizens through their elected representatives.
He said the 2026/2027 National Government Budget was passed with overwhelming support after receiving more than 97 percent of the votes, describing the outcome as a sign of confidence in the work and preparations made by the Ministry of Finance.

He added that the availability of these funds contributes to improving essential services, including healthcare, development of quality infrastructure, and the growth of economic activities such as trade and investment.

Congratulations for participating in Public Service Week; I believe you have gained valuable feedback and experiences from citizens and fellow public servants,” Professor Shemdoe said.
Earlier, speaking to Ministry of Finance staff at the exhibition booth, Assistant Director of the Administration and Human Resources Department, Simbani Liganga, urged employees to continue carrying out their responsibilities with efficiency and professionalism.
Liganga also encouraged the staff to maintain the same level of performance during the upcoming Sabasaba Trade Fair, scheduled to begin on June 28, 2026, following their successful participation in the 2026 Public Service Week celebrations held in Dodoma.
