IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS FOR WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY (03-04/6/2026)
A. Orange level 8 warning: Disruptive rainfall leading to flooding of roads and bridges, danger to life due to fast moving streams and rivers, and causing major roads to be closed is expected over the eastern parts of the Garden Route District Municipality in the Western Cape as well as Nelson Mandela Bay Metro, Koukamma, Kouga, and Sundays River Valley Local Municipalities in the Eastern Cape until Thursday.
B. Orange Level 5 Warning: Disruptive rainfall leading to danger to life, flooding and displacements of settlements as well as mudslides is expected over Buffalo City Metro, Makana, Ndlambe, Ngqushwa, Raymond Mhlaba Amahlathi, and Great Kei Local Municipalities in the Eastern Cape until Thursday.
C. Yellow Level 4 Warning: Disruptive rainfall leading to flooding of settlements, roads and bridges as well as susceptible areas is expected in places over the Swellendam Local Municipality, as well as the eastern parts of the Central Karoo and the western parts of the Garden Route District Municipalities in the Western Cape until Thursday.
D. Yellow level 2 warning: Disruptive rainfall leading to localised flooding of roads and susceptible areas is expected over the extreme south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape province, Theewaterskloof and the Langeberg Local Municipalities in the Western Cape as well as the Dr Beyers Naude, Blue Crane Route , Enoch Mgijima, Intsika Yethu, Great Kei and Mnquma Local Municipalities in the Eastern Cape until Thursday
E. Yellow Level 4 Warning: Wind and waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea as well as small vessels taking on water is expected between Cape Point and Plettenberg Bay until Thursday.
F. Yellow Level 2 Warning: Damaging waves leading to small vessels at risk of taking on water and capsizing as well as difficulty in navigation is expected between Plettenberg Bay and East London until Thursday.
G. Yellow Level 2 Warning: Disruptive snow leading to icy roads resulting in traffic disruptions is expected over the northern high-lying areas in the Eastern Cape on Thursday.
