By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belize can look forward to a brighter day, with sunny skies and a few cloudy intervals on the cards.
According to the National Meteorological Service, a moderate to fresh and relatively moist easterly airflow is in control of our weather. Skies will be sunny today with cloudy intervals, and partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy tonight. Shower activity will be generally isolated, except in the south, where a few more showers can be expected at night and into the early morning.
Temperatures along the coast will reach a high of 88 degrees Fahrenheit (31 Celsius) and a low of 82 (28 Celsius). Inland areas will be hotter, climbing to 93 degrees Fahrenheit (34 Celsius) and dropping to 74 (23 Celsius). In the hills, expect a high of 82 degrees Fahrenheit (28 Celsius) and a cooler low of 68 (20 Celsius).
At sea, winds will blow from the east at 10 to 20 knots, with moderate seas and waves of 4 to 6 feet.
On the tropical front, there is good news. No tropical cyclone formation is expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Thursday and Thursday night, skies will be partly cloudy at times. Showers and thunderstorms will be isolated during the day, before increasing over the south at night.
Today’s high tides are at 5:30 AM and 7:15 PM, with low tides at 1:07 PM and 11:56 PM. The sun rose at 5:19 AM and will set at 6:30 PM. The forecast was issued by forecaster Catherine Cumberbatch.
