George Middlebrook, who plays Officer Trackson in Beauty in Black, hosted a watch party at Sauce Buckhead in Atlanta, bringing together cast members, fans, media and Atlanta’s entertainment community to celebrate the latest season of Tyler Perry’s hit series.
The night was driven by Black excellence, star power and culture, all gracing the presence of one another on the red carpet. With several cast members in attendance, paparazzi-style media eagerly went after the opportunity to ask questions, capture moments and gain insight into the new season of Beauty in Black.

As the show premiered, fans gathered around to witness the moment and watch the story unfold together. For those who haven’t seen the new season yet, it starts by tying up loose ends from the previous season before quickly escalating into some of the most unimaginable plot twists.
The event was curated by Sauce Buckhead, George Middlebrook, K. Botchy, Make Me Over Management & PR Co., and Blck Ivory Media, creating an intimate experience where entertainment, media and culture could all exist in the same room.
Tru Hair Growth joined the evening as a sponsor, and the partnership felt especially significant. Hair and beauty are more than a backdrop in Beauty in Black—they are woven into the foundation of the story through the Bellarie family’s beauty empire. Having a real hair-care brand support an event celebrating a series rooted in beauty, business and the hair industry created an organic connection between what viewers see on screen and what was happening in the room.

That connection became one of my most memorable takeaways from the night. Beauty in Black originally introduced us to a family-owned business in the hair industry navigating challenges within the company. Understanding that this was the foundation of the show makes where the story has gone today even more interesting. What began with family, business, power and dysfunction has evolved into a storyline where almost anything can happen.
Although the watch party wasn’t nearly long enough to watch the entire season, I’ll leave you with one spoiler: Season 3 is a must-see.
The season closes so strongly that the fate of much of the cast is left hanging in the balance. Charles is headed to rehab, Horace and Norman have both been shot, Sylvie and others are dead, Rain has been captured, and Officer Trackson was struck by a car. Jules, meanwhile, has escaped custody and is back on the loose.

With Season 4 officially announced, the biggest question becomes: Who will actually return?
Kimmie and Mallory may have been left in dangerous circumstances on screen, but with both women prominently featured in promotional artwork for the new season, they certainly appear positioned to remain at the center of the story. Beyond them, however, the fate of several major characters remains unclear.
Jules may be one of the few characters whose immediate direction seems certain. He has escaped, challenged authority and is once again free to create chaos. For almost everyone else, Season 3 leaves us with questions.
Season 3 closes with the Bellarie family, its beauty empire and nearly every relationship surrounding it shaken to the core. With so many unanswered questions heading into Season 4, Tyler Perry has certainly given viewers a reason to keep watching.
After seeing the energy inside Sauce Buckhead, there may be another question worth asking: Should this become a weekly experience?

The watch party gave fans and partygoers an opportunity to come together, socialize and experience Beauty in Black beyond their own screens. It transformed watching the series into a shared experience—complete with some of the cast, red carpet, media and the energy of Atlanta nightlife.

With the success of the event and Season 4 already announced, should we expect to see George Middlebrook bring the experience back? Better yet, could Beauty in Black watch parties become a weekly destination for partygoers and fans to come together as the next season unfolds?
After a night like this, Season 4 may have more than a premiere to look forward to.
