The man charged after being involved in a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured national cyclist Tahje Browne has pleaded guilty to several charges.
Kishroy Harry appeared in the St John’s Magistrates’ Court yesterday before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel, where he pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without the consent of the owner, driving without a driver’s licence, and driving without insurance.
Harry, a resident of St Johnson’s Village, was remanded until July 1st for sentencing.
The charges stem from an accident on June 20th on Sir Sydney Walling Highway, where Browne was struck by a vehicle near the Transport Board Inspection Centre during the early morning hours.
Reports are that Harry was arrested the following day, June 21st after attempting to leave the country.
The incident involved a blue Toyota Vitz rental vehicle, which was allegedly taken without the owner’s permission.
Harry, a Vincentian national, is represented by attorney Michael Archibald.
