Milo Yiannopoulos’ MAGA Connections Offer No Shield From
ICE says Milo Yiannopoulos overstayed his legal admission and will remain detained while officials prepare to remove him from America.

Milo Yiannopoulos learned that proximity to Kanye West and Donald Trump offers no protection from Trump’s immigration crackdown.
ICE arrested the British political provocateur Thursday at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, where Ye was scheduled to perform Friday night.
“On August 27, ICE arrested Milo Yiannopoulos, an illegal alien from the United Kingdom, at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) in Kenner, Louisiana,” an ICE spokesperson said.
“Yiannopoulos legally entered the country on May 14, 2019, through New York City, New York. He chose to overstay his welcome in violation of our nation’s laws.”
The agency said an immigration judge ordered Yiannopoulos removed July 22 because he failed to attend his immigration hearing.
“Being in detention is a choice,” the spokesperson said. “We encourage all illegal aliens to take control of their departure with the CBP Home App.”
ICE also offered a warning that left little room for Yiannopoulos’ prominent political relationships to change his immediate situation.
“The United States is offering illegal aliens $3,000 and a free flight to self-deport now,” the spokesperson said. “We encourage every person here illegally to take advantage of this offer and reserve the chance to come back to the U.S. the right legal way to live the American dream.”
AllHipHop previously reported that Yiannopoulos originally arrived in America during 2017 under an O-1 visa.
That temporary visa generally covers people recognized for extraordinary ability or achievement, but it does not provide permanent American residency.
ICE’s statement identifies May 14, 2019, as his documented legal entry through New York without naming the visa used that day.
The timelines could describe his original arrival and a later admission, although ICE has not publicly explained the difference.
Yiannopoulos helped direct Ye’s political operations and returned to the rapper’s presidential team after an earlier split.
He also claimed responsibility for arranging Ye’s notorious 2022 Mar-a-Lago dinner with Trump and white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
That episode forced Trump to distance himself from Fuentes, while Yiannopoulos claimed he designed the encounter to teach Trump a lesson.
Ye previously met Trump at Trump Tower and publicly embraced him inside the Oval Office while wearing a red MAGA hat.
However, neither Ye’s access nor Yiannopoulos’ place inside right-wing politics prevented ICE from placing him directly in deportation proceedings.
Yiannopoulos will remain in ICE custody pending removal, and the agency has not announced when it plans to return him to Britain.
