Dignitaries, government officials, political leaders, diplomats, and ordinary citizens gathered at the House of Parliament on Wednesday to pay their final respects to former Governor-General, Sir Emmanuel Neville Cenac, as the nation continued to mourn one of its most distinguished public servants.

The solemn ceremony, which saw Sir Neville lie in state, marked a significant moment in the official period of national mourning following his passing on June 2 at the age of 86. Also present was Nicole Ying-chun Su, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Saint Lucia, while Opposition Leader Allen Chastanet and other members of the United Workers Party also attended the viewing.
