The President of the National Assembly, Mr. Mohamed Bemba Meguett, held talks late Sunday afternoon in Dakar with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Patrick Achi.
Mr. Achi paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Meguett at his residence at the King Fahd Hotel, where the Mauritanian official is staying ahead of his participation in the 32nd Africa Regional Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, which opens tomorrow in the Senegalese capital.
The meeting, which expanded to include delegations from both countries, focused on the fraternal relations and cooperative ties between the two parliamentary institutions. It also addressed several issues of common interest aimed at strengthening African and Francophone parliamentary cooperation.
