Nemostars Volleyball Club returned to winning ways with a sweet victory against compatriots Sport-S Volleyball Club.
Nemostars secured a well deserved 3-0 victory against Sport-S in Africa Club Championship encounter at Petit Stade, Kigali on Thursday.
After facing a disappointing loss to Kenya Port Authority (KPA), the Ugandan giants responded with a dominant victory against Sport-S in the 9th-16th placement games.
Nemostars where proactive from word go putting pressure on the ball thus forcing Sport-S on the back foot.
Daudi Okello and George Aporu were active and present as they pierced through Sport-S’s defence taking the first set (25-16).
In the second set, Nemostars opened a four-point (14-10) lead midway the set but Sport-S attempted a come back but it was late as the former took the set (25-22).
In the last test it was slightly a closely contested duel but Nemostars hardly needed the second gear to win the game convicingly.
Nemostars will continue to keep its fight alive as they fight for ninth position in the placement games.
