One week after being busted in tourist’s stolen clothes, Collin Ramclam arrested for boisterous behavior over losing money in casino – Told police he was protected by God

By Breaking Belize News Staff: A self-described Jehovah’s Witness who was convicted of theft last week returned to court on Tuesday, this time accused of behaving boisterously on Orange Street after allegedly losing his money gambling.

Collin Burton Ramclam, 37, appeared unrepresented in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, where he pleaded not guilty to one count of boisterous behaviour. With no objection from the prosecution, he was offered bail of $200 plus one surety of the same amount. His next court appearance is scheduled for September 2, 2026.

Police allege that at around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers conducting foot patrols saw Ramclam walking from the direction of Albert Street toward the Pound Yard Bridge while shouting about money he had lost gambling at the Princess Casino on his birthday.

According to police, Ramclam continued shouting, used obscene language and refused instructions to leave the area quietly. He allegedly told officers that he was protected by God and could do whatever he wanted before he was detained and taken to the Precinct One Police Station.

Ramclam also allegedly confronted and threatened a court reporter while being escorted to court, accusing her of making him look foolish in a recent Breaking Belize News report.

His latest court appearance came one week after he pleaded guilty to stealing a suitcase belonging to 20-year-old French national Ange Cesar Cirnevin. Breaking Belize News previously reported that Ramclam admitted taking the unattended suitcase from a bus travelling from Belmopan to Belize City and was found wearing some of the tourist’s belongings.

Ramclam was subsequently fined $1,000 plus $5 cost of court, payable by October 30, 2026, or he will serve five months in prison in default.
