The Bulls Daisies claim their fourth consecutive Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 1 title after defeating the Boland Dames 36-15 in Pretoria.
Pretoria, South Africa (08 April 2026) – The 2026 Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 1 kicked off with all the excitement of provincial women’s rugby. The Bulls Daisies continue to set the standard in South African women’s rugby, securing their fourth consecutive title in the newly named Women’s Super League 1 with a convincing 36–15 win over Boland Dames at Loftus Versfeld.
From the very first whistle, the Daisies set the pace. It’s another dominant chapter in what has become a remarkable run for the Pretoria-based side, who once again showed why they are the team to beat.
Playing in front of their home crowd, the Daisies took control early. Lock Vainah Ubisi opened the scoring, and centre Zintle Mpupha added a second try after a strong backline move and building on a 19–3 lead at halftime and never really looking back. While Boland had their moments, the hosts made the most of their opportunities. Their bench made an immediate impact, adding fresh energy and helping close out the game with a couple of late tries.
Despite a few injury setbacks and a spirited fight from the visitors, the Daisies remained composed, showing both power up front and flair out wide to keep the scoreboard ticking. By the final whistle, the scoreline told the story.
With the competition now running as the Pick n Pay Women’s Super League 1, the Daisies’ dominance adds excitement to the growth and visibility of women’s rugby in South Africa.
