Education Minister Receives World Bank Delegation

On 5 May in Nouakchott, Ms. Houda Babah, Minister of Education and Reform of the Education System, received a delegation from the World Bank, led by Ms. Denboba Amina Debissa, an education specialist responsible for the West and Central Africa region.

This visit is part of the presentation of a program entitled “Improving the Quality and Outcomes of Education and Strengthening Access to Education for All in Mauritania”, commonly referred to as “IQRAA”.

The program is jointly funded by the World Bank and the Global Partnership for Education to support national efforts to develop the education system.

This funding also reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening results-based approaches, thereby contributing to improving the quality of education and expanding access opportunities.
