Kawempe Muslim and Kampala Queens will be fighting for supremacy as the two sides face off in the final of the 2026 FUFA Women’s Cup on Sunday at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
Both teams are looking to encrypt their name on the winner’s list of this prestigious knockout cup for the first time.
For Kawempe Muslim, they are chasing for history, to become only the second team to win a domestic double. It should be noted that Kawempe Muslim are the FUFA Women Super League Champions.
She Corporate won the first double, two years ago but their League triumph came in the second division (FUFA Women Elite League).
On the other hand, Kampala Queens had a poor run in the League and this is their only chance for silverware this season.
To reach the final, Kawempe Muslim eliminated Amus College 6-0 on aggregate while Kampala Queens got better of Lady Doves 4-0 on aggregate.
It should be noted that in the history of the FUFA Women’s Cup, no team has defended it or won it back to back.
