Odell Beckham Jr.’s return to the New York Giants turned out to be a complete waste of time, and the wide receiver is sounding off about it.

Beckham returned to the New York Giants on a veteran-minimum contract, not looking to become the top receiver but hoping to contribute; instead, he felt the NFL franchise used him.

Taking to Instagram, Beckham broke his silence about his short second stint with the team, saying the Giants benefited from the attention his return brought while noting he didn’t get much opportunity to contribute on the field.

His response came in a post accusing the Giants of using his return as a publicity stunt, writing, “they got me” and “they won.”

Beckham, 33, was drafted  12th overall in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Giants and went on to have some historic moments, like the epic one-handed grab.

He made the 53-man roster on his second stint, accepting a veteran-minimum contract, but the team quickly put him on the back burner.

Beckham played only 20 snaps across three games and was targeted once, but the pass was incomplete. He did look back at his decision to return, writing that he  “HUMBLY” accepted the veteran minimum, adding that he earned his spot on the roster but noting that “I shoulda known better.”

While he puts out the message that he has no intention of hanging up his cleats, he hints that his brief time with the Giants may have cost him other opportunities elsewhere. “I coulda really been playing this year somewhere and making a impact,” Beckham Jr.

Giants Coach John Harbaugh Had A Different Reason For Odell Beckham Jr. Being Released

Beckham’s second stint lasted only three games; his former head coach, John Harbaugh, had a different reason for releasing Beckham.

“It just wasn’t working for us,” Harbaugh said, adding that they felt the team was not getting enough production from Beckham’s roster spot and they couldn’t find a way to get the electric receiver involved in the offense.

We truly hope Beckham can land on another roster; you can see reactions to his response in the gallery below.
