By Breaking Belize News Staff: Kiefer McKenzie was fatally shot in downtown Belize City this morning in a brazen attack that occurred along Albert Street shortly after 10:00 a.m.
According to reports, McKenzie was driving his vehicle with children inside when a gunman, believed to have been riding a motorcycle, opened fire on him.
After being shot, McKenzie’s vehicle sped down Albert Street before crashing into another vehicle, which swerved off the road, and then into a parked vehicle near the former Scotiabank building.
First responders rushed to the scene and attempted to assist McKenzie.
Police later removed him from the vehicle and transported him to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
