By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 46 year old domestic of the San Mateo Area has reported a burglary at her San Pedro home.
According to the report, the woman closed all doors and windows of her grey cement house around 11pm on Thursday before going to sleep, but left the wire screen slide open on a glass slide window in the living room to let in a breeze because of the heat.
Around 5:30am on Friday, her husband alerted her that the screen was wide open.
She then discovered that a black 32 inch Sankey television valued at $500 and a black Samsung phone valued at $295 were missing from the living room.
The total value of items taken is $795.
Police say access was gained through the open glass window on the north side of the house.
A statement was recorded and the scene was visited. The immediate area was scanned for cameras and persons in the area were spoken to. Scenes of Crime officers are yet to process the scene and dust for fingerprints.
One person is wanted in connection with the matter.
