Has Racism Been Culturally Appropriated
RACISM
Labels are designed to be distinctive!.
First let’s speak on the condition,
(To look in most instances at someone with the rationale to demoralise dislike hinder cause harm or loss to that other simply based on the completion of skin tone?)
In all honesty most would probably describe this as a lack of education or some would even suggest a mental illness?
As no one ever really says things like oh yes I’m a just a little racist,(you either are or you’re not ) and in general it’s not a label people like.
However looking at the term and how it was originally used. (Pratt)
Pratt used it to argue against segregation.
(In my opinion in name life and nature Pratt was truly befitting of his name)
However the ideology was around since the 15th century to talk down the African oppression during the slave trade.
So we should ask ourselves did it ever exist in a vacuum?
Or were there winners and losers when it came to applications and outcomes.
Now some would suggest its become hardwired (institutionally) within education health wealth justice employment and other outcomes.
But we equally should take note that for instance in the UK a new law was introduced. It would seem as an attempt to water it down!
Sharing it out as if it were almost belittling fortuitous, for everyone to get in on Racism so we all can have a drop of it???
Simply by suggesting through an Act of Parliament and creation of a new law which really is more verbal then racial abuse in its entirety.
Example: now a black brown or even white person can call another white person a
“white cxxt for instance”
Which is not even remotely relatable.
However could be described as a Heightened Racial Verbal Attack?
Wait for the punchline
Solely based on how it made the person FEEL???
So evolutionarily still not quite there in our understanding and applications.
Some say racism has been culturally appropriated!! :))
And so naturally with the experience comes the understanding then the applied theory of the definitions and finally the applications make it difficult for some to simply define it but we can measure its effects.
And most can clearly see the difference between being racist which not many can really carry off, verses something we all do inherently and sometimes even without bad intentions we can all be PREJUDICE!
