Abhijeet Dipke, CJP leaders detained from aircraft ahead of protest against CEC
Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained after the plane landed in Delhi.

Cockroach Janta Party leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained from inside an aircraft by the police shortly after they arrived in Delhi on Saturday ahead of a protest by youth groups to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
They had arrived on a flight from Mumbai at about 10.20 am. A video posted by the Cockroach Janta Party political campaign showed police personnel detaining them before they had deboarded the aircraft.

The protest at Jantar Mantar has been organised by the Cockroach Janta Party and student groups affiliated to the Left parties.
In recent weeks, protests have been held in several parts of the country calling for Kumar to resign over concerns about the functioning of the Election Commission and its handling of the special intensive revision of electoral rolls.
The demonstrations on Saturday were expected to begin at 10 am, according to the organisers.
The police have denied permission for the protest.
