1 – How would you describe your new song to someone who hasn’t heard it yet? What emotions do you want to convey?
Joy is a soulful and emotional journey that combines warm vocals, elegant grooves and heartfelt storytelling. It’s a song about love, vulnerability and the search for happiness in uncertain times. I wanted to convey tenderness, passion, hope and that bittersweet feeling of holding on to a beautiful moment while knowing life can change at any time.
2 – What was the main inspiration for the song? Can you share personal stories or influences that guided you?
The main inspiration behind Joy was a real person. Joy is a young woman who came into my life at a moment when I wasn’t expecting to feel such a strong emotional connection again. What inspired me most was not only our relationship, but the way she brought a sense of lightness, hope and joy into my life despite the complexities surrounding us.
The song reflects many real emotions and moments we shared together: the excitement of discovering each other, the intimacy, the dreams we talked about, and at the same time the awareness that life doesn’t always make things easy. There is a significant age difference between us, and we come from different backgrounds, yet there was a genuine connection that inspired me deeply.
Joy is therefore both a love story and a reflection on the courage to embrace happiness when it appears, even if the future is uncertain. I think many people can relate to that feeling of finding someone special and wanting to hold on to a beautiful moment, regardless of what tomorrow may bring.
3 – How did the song come about? Were there any collaborations?
I’ve been collaborating for several years with Andy Tee, the talented producer behind Groove Culture. Over time, he has become an essential part of my musical journey and has greatly contributed to shaping the sound and identity of my productions. Our creative chemistry continues to evolve, and Joy is another example of that shared musical vision.
4 – Which artists or experiences influenced your sound?
My sound is deeply influenced by classic soul, disco, jazz and house music. Artists such as Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder and many of the great disco and soul pioneers have always inspired me. I also draw inspiration from life’s experiences, relationships and emotions, which often become the foundation of my songwriting.
5 – Is there a particular moment related to the creation of the song that you remember with pleasure or satisfaction?
Absolutely. The moment I remember most vividly is the night I wrote the lyrics. I was in Rome, and the words came out almost effortlessly, as if the song had already been written somewhere inside me and was simply waiting to emerge. It was one of those rare moments of inspiration when emotions flow directly onto the page without overthinking.
Even today, I can still feel the emotion of that night. The atmosphere, the memories, the feelings I was experiencing at the time are all captured in the lyrics. Every time I listen to Joy, I’m taken back to that moment and reminded why writing music remains such a powerful and personal experience for me.
6 – What emotions do you hope to convey to the public?
I hope listeners feel emotionally connected to the song. Whether it’s love, nostalgia, hope or vulnerability, I want people to recognize a part of themselves in the story. Above all, I hope Joy reminds them that happiness often appears when we least expect it.
7 – What can we expect from the future? Do you have any news coming?
Absolutely. I’m excited to announce that my next single, Shine, will be released on July 10. The track features the fantastic voice of Michael “The Mike” Williams and continues my exploration of soulful and uplifting sounds. I’m very proud of this collaboration and can’t wait for listeners to hear it.

First of all, thank you for listening. Music is about connection, and I’m grateful to everyone who takes the time to discover my work. To those who have supported me over the years, thank you for being part of this journey. And to new listeners, I hope my music brings you joy, inspiration and a few moments of genuine emotion.
