Maputo (MOZTIMES) - Mozambique’s public owned ports and rail company, CFM, has announced the second phase of the project to double the track along the Ressano Garcia railway that connects Maputo to South Africa.
The project, which is budgeted at 160 million US dollars, will start in July. A statement from CFM explains that, following a first phase of doubling the track, which nearly doubled annual capacity from 13 million to 24 million tonnes, “this new expansion aims to further boost logistical efficiency.”
