Chimoio (MOZTIMES) - Mozambican President Daniel Chapo on Friday urged women in the central province of Manica to form groups and associations to benefit from the Women’s Economic Development Fund (EMPODERA), recently created by the government.
Speaking in the Manica provincial capital of Chimoio on the third day of a working visit to the province, Chapo, meeting with about 3,000 women from all Manica districts, said that the fund results from recognition of the role women play in the economy, in household management and in the development of communities.
