DRAMA: Serayah Ends Joey Bada$$ Engagement Over Alleged Repeated Cheating

Serayah just turned a private heartbreak into a public reckoning, accusing Joey Bada$$ of repeated infidelity while ending their engagement.

The “Empire” actress announced the split on Instagram on Monday, August 24, explaining that she could no longer ignore what she described as a pattern of betrayal. This was not a vague celebrity uncoupling wrapped in polite publicist language. Serayah placed the alleged reason directly on the table.

“Unfortunately, I also had to face a painful truth: there had been repeated infidelity throughout our relationship, including during some of the most vulnerable and meaningful moments of my life,” she wrote. 

That statement was apparently only the opening act.

In since deleted Instagram Stories, Serayah reportedly said Joey “needs to be shown for exactly who he is” and called him a “literal piece of s***.” She also displayed what appeared to be a recorded conversation between Joey and an unidentified woman discussing his relationship with Serayah. Her caption read, “Already talking to another woman about me and what we’re going through… smh. N****s are unreal.”

She later offered a concise internet epilogue: “Post and delete. If you saw you saw.”

Well, people saw.

Serayah and Joey began dating in 2022, welcomed their son in June 2025 and became engaged the following month. Now, the wedding plans appear to be finished, and the relationship has entered the unforgiving courthouse of social media opinion.

This sucks.

Serayah said she does not intend to keep unloading intimate details – although she has given plenty already. Her priority, she explained, is protecting their son’s peace, privacy and relationship with both parents.

That is a boundary I hope she can keep after all the drama.

Joey has not answered the allegations – not to the press at least. Serayah’s version remains public. And messy.

This is certainly not how an engagement is supposed to end. I was certain they were going to get marred.

Another baby mama. And another part time father. I hope they fix it.

By the way, they tore into Joey on IG, as his post denoted nothing was wrong.
