Uganda Premier League officially pulled down the curtains on the 2025/26 season by awarding players that stood out across the entire campaign.
The crowning event took place on Friday evening at an Awards gala that was organized at Kati Kati Restaurant in Kampala.
Vipers Midfieder Abdu Karim Watambala walked away with the biggest prize of the night, after being named the Most Valuable Player of the season.
The midfielder was instrumental in helping Vipers to emerge Champions, scoring 12 goals and registering 4 assists.
He beat Villa’s duo Frank Ssebufu, Ivan Ahimbisibwe (KCCA) and Ambrose Kigozi (Entebbe UPPC) to the award.
In the other categories, UPDF midfielder Enrique Lubwama was named Young Player of the season beating Hakim Wandera, Raymond Barasa Mangoli and Richard Okello to the crown.
Rogers Torach’s screamer against Lugazi was named goal of the season, Ivan Jacky Minnaert (Vipers) was voted as the best coach and UPDF took the fairplay award.

Platinum Award – Catherine Wejuli Adipo (Former Referee)
