Intaba Yase Dubai Releases Long-Awaited Album “Aphile.” South African Maskandi star Intaba Yase Dubai has officially released his highly anticipated new album, Aphile, today, delivering a deeply personal body of work that celebrates resilience, culture, and the enduring spirit of his people.

The KwaMaphumulo-born artist, whose real name is Lindokuhle Msomi, continues to strengthen his place as one of the country’s most distinctive voices by blending traditional Maskandi influences with Afro-pop and tribal trap. Released under his independent label, 3 Point 7 Entertainment, Aphile marks another significant milestone in his musical journey.
Following the success of his 2025 project From Me To You, the new album expands on the heartfelt storytelling that has become synonymous with Intaba Yase Dubai’s music. Rich Zulu guitar melodies, powerful rhythms, and emotionally driven lyrics come together to tell stories of perseverance, identity, love, and hope while remaining firmly rooted in cultural tradition.
The title Aphile reflects themes of life, endurance, and thriving, setting the tone for a project that embraces both personal growth and collective strength. Throughout the album, Intaba balances authentic Maskandi sounds with contemporary production, creating a record that feels equally connected to tradition and modern South African music.
Excitement for the album has been building for months, driven by the popularity of lead singles such as “Angimbonge Umdali,” a gratitude-filled anthem that has attracted nearly 2 million streams, as well as “Lo engizomthola manje.” Album previews, including “Lento Yokuvakasha,” also gave listeners a glimpse into the project’s vibrant musical direction and emotional depth.
Sharing the release with fans on social media, Intaba Yase Dubai described Aphile as “a gift from my heart to my beloved people,” reinforcing the genuine connection that has helped him build a loyal audience throughout his career.
The album also reflects the artist’s remarkable journey. Growing up in Mthandeni, KwaZulu-Natal, Intaba Yase Dubai built his career by overcoming industry setbacks and eventually establishing his own path as an independent artist. His stage name itself represents standing out against the odds, symbolising a mountain rising where one is least expected.
With Aphile, Intaba Yase Dubai once again demonstrates his ability to preserve the soul of Maskandi while embracing fresh musical ideas. As South African music continues to gain global recognition for its rich cultural diversity, the album arrives as another strong reminder that traditional sounds can evolve without losing their identity.
Aphile is now available to stream on all major digital platforms. For longtime supporters and first-time listeners alike, the album offers a moving celebration of heritage, resilience, and the power of staying true to one’s roots.
