Janet Jackson Might Have Another Major Announcement Coming

Janet Jackson might have pulled off one of the smoothest romantic disappearing acts in celebrity history if this latest engagement rumor has any truth to it.

Media Take Out is reporting that Janet may be preparing to marry Mustapha Farrakhan, son of Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan. That would make marriage number four for the legendary singer, but before anybody starts shopping for wedding gifts, nobody involved has publicly confirmed an engagement.

Still, this rumor did not materialize from thin air.

Janet and Mustapha have been spotted together multiple times. Earlier this year, reports connected the two after they were seen together in Detroit at the New Edition, Toni Braxton and Boyz II Men concert. Essence noted that they had been seen together on several occasions over roughly the previous year, although neither had confirmed they were romantically involved.

Now things are getting considerably more interesting.

Janet celebrated her 60th birthday on May 16 with an intimate gathering of friends and family. The actual celebration is confirmed. La Toya Jackson, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Johnny Gill and others were among those reportedly present. Janet later shared footage from the festivities and thanked everybody for the love.

And guess who was reportedly there?

Mustapha Farrakhan.

A Jackson family fan archive identifying attendees in Janet’s birthday footage listed Mustapha among the guests. That certainly does not prove somebody is shopping for tuxedos, but they have been dating for a minute.

Media Take Out claims people close to the Jackson family believe an engagement announcement could be coming. That portion remains firmly in rumor territory.

Janet has historically guarded her romantic life like classified government material, so expecting an Instagram relationship rollout might be asking a lot. Remember, this is Janet Jackson. Privacy is practically another instrument in the band.

At 60, however, perhaps Miss Jackson has another surprise waiting.

Are we looking at friendship, romance or marriage number four?
