Lionel Richie Hospitalized In St. Louis After Weekend Concert
Lionel Richie performed a set at The Muny last weekend, with fans saying the singer was struggling during the show.

Lionel Richie is reportedly dealing with some health issues after performing a weekend show, leading to him being hospitalized in St. Louis. According to the report, Lionel Richie completed the show but not without needing a chair to finish out the set at the end.
TMZ reports that Lionel Richie, 77, performed at The Muny at Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri last Saturday (August 29). As reported by the outlet, Richie began having issues onstage and ask the staff to bring out a chair so he could close out the set.
Shortly after his concert, Richie checked himself in to a local hospital to run tests, according to sources speaking with TMZ. It isn’t known what Richie’s true health status is or what tests were conducted. However, he is slated to be discharged this week.
Earlier this year, Richie fell ill during a performance in St. Paul, Minnesota and had to end his set early. The veteran R&B singer was rushed to a local hospital by ambulance.
Richie has kept busy on the music front beyond performing, serving as one of the celebrity judges for American Idol.
Lionel Richie nor anyone from his team has issued a statement regarding his most recent hospitalization.
