Online Sales for Magic City Classic Tailgating Slots Will Open Thursday, Sept. 10

The online tailgating slots for the Magic City Classic at Legion Field will go live at 12:01 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10 on www.bigtickets.com. The game will feature a matchup between Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University.

Before getting on Big Tickets, fans should consider creating an account in advance. Once the slots go live on Sept. 10 at 12:01 p.m., type in Birmingham, AL and it should take fans to the tailgating slot sale. Fans will not be able to see the sales link until it goes live on Sept. 10.

Before accessing the website, fans should make sure they are on a laptop or desktop; make sure they are in a space that has good Wi-Fi; and make sure they are not in a space that may limit their access to certain websites.

Tailgating cost

MCC tailgating will cost $400 per space from Wednesday, Oct. 28 until Saturday, Oct. 31. Early tailgating move in is $600 on Monday, Oct. 26, and it is $500 on Tuesday, Oct. 27. All tailgaters must be moved in by Friday, Oct. 30 by 6 p.m. No exceptions.

Tailgaters who purchase a space online and plan to use a tent company can begin set up on Monday, Oct. 26. (In order for a tent company to set up a tent, the company must show Legion Field staff their customer’s proof of purchase of the tailgating spot.) Also, Legion Field does not allow stakes to be placed into the ground to hold up a tent. Questions? What to do if you missed the online tailgating slot sale on Sept. 10

If you missed getting a tailgating spot on Sept. 10, the next opportunity to buy a slot will be in person at Legion Field on Monday, Oct. 26 at 8 a.m.

How to reserve a porta potty

McMichael Waste Services will be the sole provider of all portable toilets, hand wash stations, and RV pump services. Call 1-256-438-6118 Ext. 101 for more information. The deadline for advance orders from McMichael Waste Services will be Friday, Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. If tailgaters miss the online deadline, they can still order from McMichael Waste Services the week of the game. Company reps will be in the back of the bus lot near the pavilion at Legion Field, Monday, Oct. 26 – Friday, Oct. 30.

Porta potty delivery dates

Pre-sale deliveries will be made, starting Tuesday, Oct. 27.Walk-up deliveries will start Wednesday, Oct. 28. There is not an option for tailgaters to pick their delivery day. There will be no deliveries after 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30.

Classic tailgaters should visit www.mwswaste.com to make advance orders. When visiting the site, scroll down to a lime green box that says: Magic City Classic Order. Click on that box to do an online order.Payment is due in full upon order. All major credit cards accepted. (A $1 convenience charge will be added).

Food trucks or food vendors wishing to sell food near the stadium should contact the businesses along Graymont Avenue to secure permission to be on their property. Legion Field is no longer taking applications for food vendors inside the stadium.
