Porter Airlines Is Adding New Montego Bay Flights From Canada This Winter

The beach clubs along Jamaica’s Hip Strip. The white sand at Doctor’s Cave Beach. The jerk chicken smoke drifting from roadside grills. Montego Bay has long been one of the Caribbean’s most popular winter escapes, and now Canadian travelers will have significantly more ways to get there.

Porter Airlines is adding new nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica, as part of a major expansion of its winter sun network for the 2026-2027 season, bringing new flights from three Canadian cities and substantially increasing the airline’s presence in the Jamaican market.

Three New Routes To Montego Bay

The biggest Caribbean news in Porter’s latest expansion is the addition of three new Montego Bay routes.

The airline plans to launch nonstop flights from Toronto Pearson International AirportOttawa International Airport, and Hamilton International Airport to Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.

Toronto service begins on Nov. 23, with flights operating five times weekly. Ottawa-Montego Bay flights launch on Nov. 25, with twice-weekly service, while Hamilton joins the network on Dec. 20, also operating twice weekly.

The Hamilton route is particularly notable because Porter will be the only airline offering Montego Bay service from Hamilton, creating a new nonstop option for travelers across Ontario.

A Bigger Push Into Jamaica

The new routes continue Porter’s rapid growth across the Caribbean.

The carrier plans to operate nearly 5,000 flights to sun destinations during the upcoming winter season, representing an increase of more than 150 percent compared to the previous year. Montego Bay is one of the centerpiece additions as Porter continues expanding beyond its traditional Canadian and U.S. network.

The Jamaica flights will be operated with the airline’s Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, featuring Porter’s signature no-middle-seat configuration. Passengers also receive complimentary beer and wine served in glassware along with premium snacks, while the E195-E2 fleet includes free Wi-Fi.

Why Montego Bay Remains One Of The Caribbean’s Most Popular Destinations

Montego Bay continues to be Jamaica’s busiest tourism gateway and one of the region’s most sought-after winter destinations.

You can spend the day at Doctor’s Cave Beach, explore the restaurants and bars along Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, play golf along the Rose Hall coast, or use Montego Bay as a base for exploring western Jamaica.

The destination is home to some of the Caribbean’s largest all-inclusive resorts, along with boutique hotels, beachfront restaurants, nightlife venues, and some of Jamaica’s most recognizable attractions.

What It Means For Travelers

The expansion gives Canadian travelers more nonstop options to Jamaica as demand for Caribbean vacations continues to grow.

With service from Toronto, Ottawa, and Hamilton, Porter is making Montego Bay a much larger part of its Caribbean network.

For travelers planning winter escapes next season, the result is simple: more seats, more departure options, and more nonstop access to one of Jamaica’s most popular beach destinations.
