*The next installment of VERZUZ is bringing two major hip-hop names together for a live faceoff, as French Montana and Rick Ross prepare to go track-for-track in a highly anticipated matchup.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 7, streaming live from Apple Music Studios in Los Angeles. Fans can tune in at 6:30 p.m. PST / 9:30 p.m. EST to watch the battle in real time, exclusively through Apple Music, according to the news release.
Created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, VERZUZ has become a staple for live music competitions, pairing artists in head-to-head performances that highlight their catalogs and cultural impact. This latest matchup continues the series’ partnership with Complex and Apple Music.
Ahead of the main event, viewers will have access to a companion broadcast designed to expand the experience. The Complex × VERZUZ Companion Show will stream before and after the battle, featuring commentary from Jordan Rose and Ebro Darden. The pre-show will begin 30 minutes before the battle, offering analysis, predictions, and guest appearances, followed by a 20-minute recap after the final round.
Fans can also explore a curated playlist leading up to the event, highlighting key tracks from both artists to set the tone for the competition. After the live broadcast, the full battle will remain available on demand through Apple Music, including both video and exclusive audio versions.
In addition to the performance, a limited run of collectible trading cards will accompany the event. Each artist will be featured on exclusive cards with special variations, including autographed and foil editions, available through Complex’s platform.
