SA Rugby U20s crush Argentina 48–21 in championship opener
The Junior Boks, the reigning under 20 world champions, ran in 8 tries to 3
The South African under 20 Rugby team has given Argentina’s under 20s a sound 48-21 thumping in the opening round of the 2026 Championship at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Gqeberha, in the Eastern Cape.

Exciting University of Cape Town winger, Jack Benade led the scoring with a hattrick. The Junior Boks, the reigning under 20 world champions, ran in 8 tries to 3, as they now turn their attention to Australia next Sunday.
In the earlier match at the same venue, defending champions, New Zealand came from 24-12 down at halftime to beat Australia 34-29. The Kiwis outscored the Wallabies by 6 tries to 5, to start the defence of their under 20 title on a strong note.
