WEATHER: Rain and thundershowers set to hit two provinces

Here is what the weather has in store for KZN, Free State and North West.

KWAZULU-NATAL

KwaZulu-Natal will start the day with patches of fog in some areas before fine to partly cloudy skies develop.

The province will remain cold to cool, with isolated showers and rain expected in the western parts.

Along the coast, light to moderate northerly to north-easterly winds will strengthen to fresh north of Mtunzini during the afternoon.

The UVB sunburn index is expected to be high.

DURBAN

Durban will enjoy fine to partly cloudy weather, with light to moderate northerly to north-easterly winds.

Temperatures will range from 15°C in the morning to 24°C in the afternoon, while the UVB sunburn index remains high.

FREE STATE

The Free State will experience cloudy and cold conditions, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers developing across the province.

BLOEMFONTEIN

Bloemfontein will see cloudy conditions with scattered showers and thundershowers throughout the day.

Temperatures will range from 9°C in the morning to 13°C in the afternoon.

NORTH WEST

The North West will experience cloudy and cold conditions, with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers developing across the province.

MAHIKENG

Mahikeng will see cloudy skies with scattered showers and thundershowers throughout the day.

Temperatures will range from 10°C in the morning to 15°C in the afternoon.
