Zimbabwe To Face DR Congo, Equatorial Guinea And Sierra Leone In 2027 AFCON Qualifiers
Zimbabwe will take on DR Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Sierra Leone in the TotalEnergies AFCON Pamoja 2027 qualifiers, which are due to kick off in September and run through the October and November international windows.

The draw was conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo on Tuesday. Group E pits Zimbabwe against the group’s highest-ranked side, DR Congo, who were in pot one. Equatorial Guinea were drawn from pot two as the second-highest ranked team, while Sierra Leone came from pot three. Zimbabwe were placed in pot four.
Across the 12 groups, the top two teams will qualify automatically for the tournament. Because the finals will be co-hosted by three nations, the group containing the hosts will have different qualification criteria.
