Kyadondo SS have dumped out USSSA U20 Boys Football defending Champions Buddo SS, defeating them 1-0 in the quarterfinals on Sunday.
Bashir Edema scored the lone goal that guided Kyadondo SS past Buddo SS, converting from the spot in the game played at Lira Town College.
The goal arrived in the 32nd minute with the referee awarding a penalty when Buddo SS goalkeeper Edirisa Waibi fouled Joseph Jude Kakooza in the box.
Midfielder Edemu took the resultant penalty with his ferocious strike in the middle, hitting the back of the net, sending Waibi the wrong way.
Despite efforts from Buddo SS to look for an equalizer, Kyadondo defended resiliently to sail to their first ever semifinal.
Last year, on their debut, Kyadondo SS was eliminated at the quarterfinal stage by Bukedea Comprehensive School.
At the semifinal stage, Kyadondo SS will face either Amus College or London College, Nansana.
