10 Toes Down: Deion Sanders Shows Off New Prosthetic Toes With Karrueche’s Support
His girlfriend, Karrueche, showed her support by posting a picture of both their feet on her Instagram, with Sanders rocking his new toes.

Deion Sanders has been documenting his health struggles over the past few years, and he recently gave an update on life after his toe amputation.
Sanders Jr. took to his X account with a nearly three-minute video about getting prosthetic toes for his left foot, rejoining the 10-toe club.
The 59-year-old is handed a box, and after pulling back the tissue paper like a Fresh pair of Nike Diamond Turf IIs, a rubbery foot is seen inside with just the big toe and second toe, plus a sort of sleeve that wraps around his existing foot.
After picking it up, Sanders immediately comments on how nice the toenail looks. A zoom-in shows how realistic the foot looks, down to the skin texture and veins.
After the med staff slips the sleeve on, Sanders immediately stands up to get used to his new feet, exclaiming “10 toes down again” and is happy to announce that he’s a size 11.5 again.
He admits that the other toes on that foot are out of whack, but it’s nothing another surgery can’t fix.
He slips on what appears to be an all-white pair of Nike DT Max Highs, which now fit a lot better, create less friction on the footbed, and will stop his son Shiloh from calling his shoes “baggy.”
“I want to thank you all who were involved in getting me back to being 10 toes down. It is a blessing, but they gotta spend more time with each other because they’re not together,” he says while pointing at his foot. “This one is mad at this one because they’ve been alone and had all the space to themselves. It’s sorta like a dorm room. And there’s five people in it now instead of three.”

In 2021, when Sanders was still at Jackson State, he had lingering playing-career injuries and underwent surgery to fix his dislocated toe, a hammertoe, and an inflamed nerve.
However, a blood clot issue caused the procedure not to go as planned when blood wouldn’t circulate down to his feet, so it turned into a 23-day ICU stay, and his big toe and second toe were amputated.
He was in a wheelchair and motorized scooter for much of that NCAA season but was back up on his feet soon after.
Sanders had another setback: bladder cancer in 2025, when his entire bladder was removed and reconstructed with tissue from his small intestine.
